About
Phunkybrats is my little slice of life. Here’s a few things about me:
I’m a writer. The past three years I’ve been working on my first novel titled Life on Emerson Ave. It’s geared for a teen audience. It was written by a helpless (but intelligent) romantic for a helpless (and equally intelligent) audience. Rocco and Marco are the main characters, they’re both learning about love, life and each other. Rocco takes a few punches (literally). Marco learns the value of being honest to ones self. But I’m getting ahead of myself.
I’m a photographer. Ok, let’s be real, I’m an amateur photographer with a huge (ok half decent size) ego. To me, photography is storytelling. It freeze frames a moment in time and captures what could have, or was, a really interesting second. To me, that’s fucking incredible!
I’m gay. It’s kinda boring that I feel the need to announce this when meeting people for the first time. But in a way, being gay opened my eyes to opportunities and lives I, otherwise, wouldn’t have experienced. Being gay is part of my identity but it’s not completely who I am.
I’m Healthy. I’ve been battling the fat war not to mention self-imaging for 10 years. Somedays, I really love working out but on most days I’m just like everyone else…tired.
So in a nutshell, Phunkybrat is about all of these things. Look at it as a hang out where a collection of things happen: Entertainment, Information and Enlightenment. I hope you like it.
Take Care,
Frank G.

Well I liked listening to your encouraging words, weight loss is such a difficult subject…did you every have a weight problems
Hi Nat the Cat!
Yes I did have a weight problem and it’s taken me approx. 10 years to lose almost 120 pounds. It’s about hard work, making mistakes and lessons learned. Please, if you have any questions ask away as I’m more than happy to help you.
I love your site. Keep it up !

haha. i found you on youtube, because i was looking for oxford seminars reviews, what did you think? how did it go?
Rathi.
I would definitely recommend Oxford Seminars. It was a great opportunity to meet other travellers and get a teaching certificate at the same time.
Been reading your blog and thought this gay-themed comedy video might be of interest to you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hLfVht-LF4
Take it easy
I wish I can tell everybody around me that I am gay like you. But all above I am happy because I am who I am. Get interested in reading your new book. When it’s going to be published? One more thing, I enjoy watching your photo collection. I’ve taken some nice pics of the scenery here in Vietnam during my trips. Will share them if you’re interested.
WOW . . . Where have you been all my life? I watch you’re video from March 1 on Hot Guys about the crazy people on dating site? And now your weight problem! You sound just like me! I still struggling with the weight though, how did you lose it?
